I think an overhead sign, similar to the downtown one, should be constructed at the east end of Main Street where it is decided the “historical district” should begin. The road should be repaved, two lanes total with parking; centre turn lane no parking area at intersections; with period street lamps to show we mean business. Yeah, it all costs money… otherwise, soon we will be ‘just another nondescript town’.
