Buildings Continue To Stack Up

Ryan and Kristin Kingma, Grimsby Residents

Re: Secondary Plan

10 years ago we made Grimsby our home. We loved the quaintness and small town feeling. But lately, we have seen cherry orchards developed into townhouses, and buildings along the lakefront continue to stack up.

Last year we moved just behind Main Street into a great neighbourhood to raise our family. But now the risk of overdevelopment as part of the intensification of Main Street could change the town we know into something our children won’t recognize as the town they grew up in.

Traffic is already a nightmare trying to turn left into downtown on a Saturday. If more residential properties are built it will be a parking lot.

Please keep Main Street East a beautiful part of the heritage of Grimsby.
