Clearly Grimsby has a heritage worth preserving

Clearly Grimsby has a heritage worth preserving. We need a heritage plan to control the compatibility of future development - a plan with teeth. We who live here have the right and the responsibility to preserve the heritage buildings that remain. I am not anti-development, but I want us to have the final say in how our town looks and feels. I want future residents of Grimsby, a distant hundred years from now, to say that in 2020 we did a good job of protecting what is important to people who live here. We must remember that it is up to us, not developers, to think long term with respect to the quality of life we want in Grimsby. A heritage plan is essential to this vision.
